Become a Marshal

The Pram Race relies on volunteers to keep things running safely and smoothly. If you can spare a couple of hours on Boxing Day, we'd love your help.

What's Involved

Marshals play a vital role on race day — manning road closures, directing runners along the route, and guiding spectators safely. Without them, the Pram Race simply couldn't happen.

In the week before the event, we hold a briefing meeting where you'll learn everything you need to know. The local Police also attend to answer questions and make sure every marshal feels confident in their role.

On the day, you'll receive a roster, route maps, emergency contact numbers, and a high-visibility vest — so you can head straight to your post fully prepared.

£50 charity donation As a thank you, we'll donate £50 to a local charity or good cause of your choice.
Full briefing & support Pre-event meeting, route maps, contact numbers, and hi-vis gear all provided.
Flexible commitment A couple of hours on race day morning is all it takes to make a real difference.
